From the East (April Notice)

Greetings Brethren,

First, thanks to all the officers and brothers for making the Second degree the other night such a great success. All the hard work of the officers just adds to my appreciation for the Masonic brotherhood that we share. Bro. Adam Charczenko gave an excellent middle chamber lecture. It was the first time he has done it and everyone was amazed at the command he had of one of the hardest lectures there is to learn.

This month will be open to wives and we will be receiving Right Worshipful Nick Papadinis, District Deputy Grand Master, for the purpose of a Fraternal visit.

We need your reservations for the 150th Anniversary on May 19th, so please let us know by phone or e-mail if you intend to share in the festivities. Tickets for dinner are $10.00 per person and I assure that it will be a great time. The Most Worshipful Grand Master, Jeffrey Black Hodgdon, will be joining us for this most important occasion. Also, we are looking for your thoughts and recollections of the past 25 years for our history of the Lodge. Anything you can add will be appreciated , so don’t be shy and let us know what you remember. You can always reach me at Pequossette@gmail.com.

I am looking forward to when we will be passing four candidates to the sublime degree of Master Mason with the help of the Hellenic Square and Compass Club degree team in June so it should be a fun night.

Please don’t forget to make reservations for dinner.

                                                         Fraternally,
                                                             Mike

From the East (March Notice)

Greetings Brethren,

I hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day and that the Brothers are looking forward to helping with the great things planned for the upcoming months.  We have a lot of work to do to get ready for the rest of the events of the rest of the year.

I would like to thank all the brethren, their ladies and families for attending the Valentine’s Day party.  All had a terrific time.  The young girls were great singers and the Simon Says game was great fun all around.  Thanks to our special guest of the evening Bro. Mel Simons, who put on his usual fantastic show for us.

We will be conferring the second degree on Bro. Leonardo de Nevi this month for 2 reasons, first that he might be caught up with our three other candidates, Sean O’Dowd, Peter Bennett and Brian Cane, second because the exemplification is coming up at the end of this month, the officers get an opportunity to hone their skills at this degree.

Please make every effort to attend and support your newest Brother in his journey.

Due to inclement weather, the 150th anniversary meeting was postponed and will be rescheduled for sometime in March.  I will email everyone about the meeting.  If I do not have you email address please send it to me so you may be kept apprised of the details.

Please don’t forget your reservations for dinner.  They are required so please don’t put yourself or the Lodge into an embarrassing situation of not having enough food for everyone.

                                                         Fraternally,
                                                                           Mike

From the East (February Notice)

Greetings Brethren,

First, thanks to all the officers, brothers and their wives as well as our distinguished guests for making the First Fraternal Visit of the new District Deputy Grand Master, R.W. Nicholas Papadinis, such a great success.  It was an honor receiving one of own members as the DD of the 3rd district.  If it weren’t for the upcoming 150th anniversary celebration of our Lodge, I could say that this was the high point of my time of being Master and retire happily.  Nick’s presentation at the meeting was very inspirational for me and I am looking forward, as I would guess you are, to helping him on the work that he has at hand.  It is a delight to see someone who has put so much into this fraternity receive an honor so justly deserved and that goes double for his officer line-up.  These Brothers have toiled without asking for any privileges or seeking praise for years and to see them in purple gives me an even greater appreciation for the Masonic Brotherhood we share.

I would also like to thank Wor. Lloyd Wentzell, Sr., who stepped up and was a great Marshal for the evening.  Some guys always find a way to help and Lloyd is certainly one of those guys.  The Officers did a fantastic job and really made the night memorable for me and I am sure Nick and others feel the same way.

I would like to thank R.W. Mike Podymaitis and his Lady Judy for attending and making their presentation.  I am sure we will find a suitable Place for the plaque very soon.

This month is ladies night for our annual Valentine’s Day celebration with our sweethearts.  We will also be opening a bit early to confer the second degree on our newest Brothers.

It should be a great night.  Please don’t forget that RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR DINNER!

                                                         Fraternally,

                                                                           Mike
